Expedia is the world’s largest online travel company, providing travel booking and planning services for leisure and business in the B2B and B2C sectors through a
network of brands and affiliates. Xoomworks Technology has forged a long-standing partnership with Expedia built on knowledge of the Expedia and Partner businesses, knowledge of the global travel sector and the experience of our dedicated teams and consultants to continually deliver successful outcomes.

We currently have several dedicated agile teams working on various projects, bothinternally and through projects for their travel partners. We operate a distributed
delivery model with consultants working from Expedia’s London head office andacross two near shore locations in Cluj-Napoca and Sofia. Recent projects delivered
for Expedia include the migration of over 500 on-premise business applications into a single AWS instance, and the development and migration of data to a Data Science platform using AWS-EMR and Hadoop for Hotels.com. The goal, to allow Data Scientists and Analysts to spin up “right-sized” clusters, run an algorithm and then tear the cluster down on-demand.

We have worked with a major player in travel technology, with their core software being used by over 46 major rail operators worldwide and in the UK. As a technology business our Customer continually develops their technology and following a recent version upgrade invited Xoomworks Technology to develop a new consumer mobile app that demonstrates new advanced consumer services, available through a new API gateway.

Xoomworks Technology created a mobile app loaded with clever technology including Machine Learning and AI components alongside a new ticket-less travel system.
