Oil and gas giant delivering merger benefits with Coupa

Europe’s leading independent natural gas and oil company, Wintershall Dea has selected Xoomworks Procurement to implement the Coupa S2P solution to support its complex, multi-channel purchasing operations.

The merger of Wintershall’s predecessor companies presented many challenges to the business driving the need to replace complex legacy systems, simplify procurement processes and realise the maximum financial benefits from the new organisation. Coupa’s S2P solution met Wintershall’s key requirements of ease-of-use, scalability and alignment with its cloud first strategy.

Xoomworks brought its long experience and strengths in engagement leadership, analytics and IT architecture to the project, building simplified, standard best practice processes across the organisation. This approach meant the solution met Wintershall’s business requirements and ensured rapid user adoption. Benefits have been quickly realised with over 95% of spend now ‘non-maverick’, significant financial savings have been realised from e-invoicing and manual effort and customer queries have been reduced through the use of the Coupa Supplier Portal.
