It has now become a bit of a tradition for Xoomworks to attend Coupa Inspire, one of Europe’s leading Business Spend Management events, we are very fortunate to also be a regular sponsor of this hugely successful event organised by our partner Coupa.
The publicity leading up to the event looked very promising, this left us really looking forward to the actual event kick-off, as with each year Coupa Inspire just gets better and better. It was truly one of the biggest Inspire events we’ve attended so far, which comes to show how much the Coupa community has grown over time. There were around 1000 people at the event and the crowd was a pleasant mix of partners, Coupa customers, prospects and Coupa staff, so there was something for everyone to get “inspired” by.
As always we were there to support our longtime partner Coupa, connect with clients and prospects and learn about the newest innovations in spend management. And indeed, we did all of that and more!
The agenda for the event was very well put together and we got the chance to attend some very interesting sessions and learn what’s new on the market and what Coupa are up to next year.
The event started off with an introduction from CEO Rob Bernshteyn, who highlighted Coupa’s perspective and focus on AI-powered spend management, followed by a session by award winning journalist, author and filmmaker, Robert Peston. His session focused on the implications of Brexit on the business environment, and it really gave people something to consider.
For us, the Inspire event was a great opportunity to chat with some of our customers and to share with them some of the latest initiatives we’ve been working on in terms on S2P implementation and optimisation (such as XoomTune, our Coupa optimisation dashboard and methodology) through to our operational procurement support services.
Not only that, we were very happy to see that our consulting reputation preceded us as people came up to us and said “I’ve heard so many good things about Xoomworks, I had to come over and speak to you”, giving us the chance to get into some very insightful conversations with potential customers.
There were a number of current and past clients there – all of whom spoke very well of us and our procurement experts they had worked with, which always makes for a great reference for prospective clients and our own self esteem.
All in all, we had a great time at Coupa Inspire, good interactions with a range of delegates from senior finance to procurement people and we’re thoroughly looking forward to the next Inspire event and another year of prosperous collaboration with Coupa.
Xoomworks Procurement has been a Coupa partner since 2013.
