Meet the Team – Dora Eszes, OPS Team Lead

by | July 4, 2018

July’s Meet the team interview features Dora Eszes, one of our Operational Procurement Support Team Leads, based in Cluj-Napoca. Dora is a very energetic person with great interpersonal skills and a true professional when it comes to her job. She is always happy to help.

Tell us about your time/journey in Xoomworks

I joined Xoomworks almost five years ago as an IT Support Analyst supporting Supplier and Catalogue Enablement processes on Ariba On-Demand. After a year or so, I started being involved in Supplier Enablement and Service Desk Coupa projects. Relatively quickly, I moved on to Coupa Implementation projects. During this entire time, as the OPS team has grown, I have focused on setting up and continuously improving our internal training programme, which has been an enriching professional experience.

What do you like most about working at Xoomworks?

At the moment, I am a Senior Coupa Analyst and Lead on various types of services (Implementation, cXML Supplier Integrations and Release Management) and also a proud Team Lead.
It is difficult to limit my response to one pick, so my top two choices are: the variety and the people. The variety, because there are hardly two days that are exactly the same, given the wide range of services that we provide. This dynamic environment fits me like a glove and has given me the opportunity to evolve on a professional level. The people, because our success stories are possible with team effort. Also, my colleagues have enriched my experience on a personal level.

Are there any projects that you are particulary fond of?

The projects I am currently involved in are my ideal combination: Implementation, cXML Supplier Integrations and Release Management. Each of these types of services give me the opportunity to develop my technical and project management skills. As my role has progressed on the leading side, I am always grateful for any chance to be involved in more technical tasks that keep me up to date with changes to my area of work and their implications for clients and our business.

Let’s talk about your team. Who are they and what makes them special?

I call my colleagues the Dream Team because we have chosen to grow together. My colleagues have been supportive with me during the period I have transitioned into the Team Lead role and in return it is my outmost honour to be able to support them in achieving their goals. I am particularly proud to witness their progress. Each and one of my team members is unique in terms of personality and set of skills, so they draw a really colourful painting.

What are your hobbies? What do you like doing in your free time?

I have a passion for embroidery and crafting. I suppose I have taken the expression “picking up the threads” literally.
