We are happy to have one of our Cluj-based colleagues featured in the Meet the Team section. Anca Halalaiu is one of our Operational Procurement Support Team Leads and she’s been with Xoomworks for almost 3 years.
Tell us a bit about your journey in Xoomworks.
I joined Xoomworks almost 3 years ago, back in 2014, as a Coupa Analyst when the OPS team was made up of only other 6 members. I have first started working on the Service Desk for one of our clients and quickly moved to also working on Supplier Enablement and Coupa Implementation projects.
Our OPS team has grown a lot since then and so did the services we are delivering. I am currently working as a Team Lead and a Service Owner for several Service Desk Projects, and also working closely with our consultants in UK and France on implementing Coupa.
What do you like most about working at Xoomworks?
The best part about working at Xoomworks are the pople I work with: I have grown so much during the time I’ve been here only due to the diversity and experience of my colleagues and their genuine support.
Are there any projects that you are particularly fond of?
There is a Service Desk project I am particularly fond of, as I believe we have developed a close relation with our client since we started working together around 4 months ago. I believe communication both internally and with the client runs very smoothly – we provide both 1st and 2nd line support and we always ensure that information flow between our teams is accurate and in timely manner. The service requests and incidents we are receiving vary in complexity and nature and we also cover multiple european countries providing multilingual support.
As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
I’ve always had an artistic side and loved drawing and painting, so I was dreaming of becoming a painter when I was little. Growing up, my interests shifted towards sciences, but I still enjoy painting whenever I have some spare time.
Outside of work what do you love?
Besides painting I am also a bookworm and I love to devour a good story, preferably on a sunny day in the park in my hammock. I also took up photography recently and I am currently trying to expand my knowledge in this area and why not, become a National Geographic photographer one day.
