This month’s meet the team section features Adela Andrei, Team Manager and Service Owner, based in Romania. Adela works within the Operational Procurement Support department of Xoomworks Procurement, part of Accenture, leading our teams, SMEs and Analysts into delivering exquisite services.
Tell us about your journey in Xoomworks.
I’ve started back in 2009 when the Xoomworks team in Romania had a rather small team and I landed on an Analyst role that felt like it was the perfect blend of ingredients. I then had to quickly adapt and learn how to functionally use, troubleshoot, and later on implement e-Procurement tools, test out the different services and help grow our delivery team. My journey has always been complemented by the colleagues I worked with, whether horizontally or vertically in the hierarchy.
What do you like most about working at Xoomworks?
What I appreciate the most are the people. I like their openness, and their desire to always support colleagues’ growth. The level of support here at Xoomworks, from colleagues, is truly remarkable. I think this culture we’ve all invested in and believe in is one of our greatest assets.
Are there any projects that you are particularly fond of?
Yes, of course. There are a few projects that have marked my path and if I think about it better, it was a lot about the people that I worked with and how much I’ve learnt from them. I remember in my early years at Xoomworks, having worked for a major UK insurance company for which Xoomworks has delivered a range of services for years and then, having had the opportunity to work with them years later and deliver such a successful service once again. I’ve worked with over 20 rather known companies over the years and it has been quite an experience every time.
Let’s talk about your team. Who are they and what makes them special?
I feel blessed with my team. They are all industry professionals, each and every one of them brings technical skills and personality traits to the table that make us all better in the face of challenging projects, busy times and even outside the office.
What are your hobbies? What do you like doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, time out in nature and when that is not on the table, I enjoy spending time on all sorts of arts and crafts.
