I started working for Xoomworks in November 2012 and started with delivering a training course on Purchasing to a Nordic bank. After that I got involved with Coupa projects and worked on my first Coupa implementation on Coupa Release 8 and we were the first Coupa client to Go-Live in the UK.
Since then I have continued to be involved in Coupa projects in a variety of roles, with the count now at 21 projects. I’ve also had the opportunity to work on other non Coupa projects, including some work for the UK public sector and also some internal projects on how we can identify optimisation opportunities and how to best leverage functionality from purchasing systems.
In addition to this I have also been involved in supporting the sales process, mainly new work for existing clients but also on the new business front.
I love the culture and people at Xoomworks. It’s unique. It’s a safe place to learn and grow whilst also somewhere that will challenge and support you. My colleagues are friendly, easy to approach and keen to help. There is team focus on everyone pulling in the same direction to make Xoomworks a better place.
There have been a number of client projects that I have really enjoyed and these again are mainly down to the people on the both sides of the project team. However, the project I most enjoyed was an internal development project where we have been able to create the XoomTune report. The journey from a rough concept of what we could have, to having a developed product which is now partially automated and available for multiple purchasing systems and now being led by our team in Cluj has been great to work on. Genuinely it’s something that everyone can benefit from!
I enjoy talking my dog for walks, shorter and gentler now that she is getting older. I also love swimming and have done several open water swims with a few my Xoomwork colleagues. I also have a wife and two kids, so obviously spending time with them is very rewarding.
