Position Purpose:

We are looking for experienced candidates and exceptional graduates who have procurement process and testing experience to join our OPS team as a Release/Ariba Analyst. The role will be joining our existing team delivering operational support services to initially one of our clients Ariba Procurement systems and processes but with an aim to expand to other clients.

The role will be initially split across 2 areas but could grow wider depending upon opportunities and the candidate:

  • Change/Release Management Support – 50% of role
  • Ariba Upstream System Support – 50% of role

You should have a good degree and an interest in pursuing a career in Procurement and change management support. A good communicator with excellent English skills, a flexible approach and good problem-solving skills is what we are looking for.

English is the core language for support but any additional European languages would be a bonus. There is potential for some onsite travel but the role is based in our Cluj-Napoca office.
Internal Ariba based training plan will be followed so that the relevant Ariba knowledge will be grown.


Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Change/Release Management Support

  • Conduct hand-off meetings with the involved teams to enable build activities
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the business, project team and IT Leadership staff as required
  • Propose and define test approach, test cases and test scripts based on detailed understanding of the existing and new functionalities
  • Organize UATs with business representatives
  • Consolidate issues identified during UATs
  • Take ownership of deployment problems to troubleshoot and provide active coordination between various groups in resolving a specific issue
  • Run non-regression testing
  • Work with cross functional, geographically distributed teams to provide deployment support across multiple test and production environments
  • Work with the project team to manage risks that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure migration/releases are delivered on time, and that they meet or exceed expectations
  • Help project team to set up Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Maintain detailed documentation on the solution (technical and functional documentation, related test scenarios) for all deployments
  • Communicate the upcoming changes to the trainer in order to update the training materials according to the scope of each release
  • Continuously look for ways to improve our release process through process changes and automation

Ariba Upstream System Support

  • Data management activities
  • Any other ad hoc duties when required

Experience & Qualifications Required: 

  • Excellent English language skills, written and spoken
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Knowledge of Ariba Strategic Sourcing and/or Change, Release & Deployment processes is a must
  • Experience in using master data management platforms like Tibco is a bonus
  • Any additional European language is a bonus
