This position is for a Data analyst within the Specialist titles organisation in Sofia. The role will be complemented by a BI Data implementation manager. The role will report to the FT’s London insights and analytics team, so best synergies can be created with best practices from across the FT org.
The team is looking for a motivated individual who can quickly understand the business and the data to bring viable strategic and tactical solutions to drive Specialist Titles Product team towards their commercial objectives. You will need to be passionate about solving problems, have excellent interpersonal and creative analysis skills to deal with a vast array of projects & questions from all areas of the business. You will meet regularly with customers to understand business requirements and to formulate analytics plans to address the customer needs. You will partner with offshore analysts who will deploy marketing tags, perform tag audits and data validation to enable delivery of solutions that solve customer needs. This position will have the benefit of being the first person to mine a brand new data set, being the go to person for data & insight in specialist.
This is a relatively greenfield role which will become pivotal in the specialist titles division. You will have opportunities to work with new and emerging technologies across all technical platforms and have development and training opportunities in a truly international company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
●Work directly with multiple teams, product owners and senior stakeholders to fullyshape data analytics & insights requirements
●Be the subject matter expert for data & insight solutions for ST
●Design and implement low maintenance, well monitored, secure and scalablesolutions to customer problems
●Design, build and operate solutions, throughout their lifecycle, which meet bothfunctional and non-functional KPIs
●Contribute to company-wide processes, frameworks and guidelines
●Develop an in-depth understanding of FT’s underlying data and data flow, datastructures.
●Prioritise workload to ensure maximum impact.
●Develop a close relationship with our customers and provide operational supportPerson
Specification (Candidate Profile):
●Previous Analyst experience
●Advanced Google Analytics skills
●Proven self-starter who can hit the ground running
●Exposure to working with a wide variety of data sets and data tools
●Experience with web analytics
●Proven SQL skills
●Advanced excel skills
●The ability to manage stakeholders expectations
●Capability to prioritise and manage workload
●A proven track record of driving positive change from data within a commercial business
●Experience in data modelling & analysis
●Presentation and communication skills to all levels
●Have a passion for data visualisation & familiarity with techniques
●A commercially minded individual – ability to understand the commercial imperatives behind the data needs
●Thorough, inquisitive, innovative, ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking
●Have a passion for digital business, mobile, and emerging technologies University degree attainment (or equivalent qualification) in Mathematics / Management /Business / Psychology / Computer Science / Statistics / Economics / or similar numerate discipline
●Self-motivated, with ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously
