The client is an international energy and commodities trading company, operating a complex business model for physical trading, logistics and risk management.
Its traders, brokers and risk management experts work closely with trading partners to minimise risk and handle price fluctuations. It urgently needed a single system to manage its master data.
Compliance was a key consideration of the client’s ongoing data management for every record. The business would need to integrate their existing best practice solutions for compliance screening, document management and secure user authentication into the end product.

A modern, user-friendly experience that integrated all master data required
The client approached Xoomworks Technology with a vision for a new modern UX/UI solution to help them manage their trading partners. Xoomworks recognised they would have to adhere to the client’s existing technology standards for the back-end development.
On the front end, they were able to harness the latest technologies and deliver a very modern, user-friendly experience. Within one week, Xoomworks had a dedicated team in place and were working with the business, IT and a third-party screening team under a fixed price agreement.
Operating as a single team, they worked together to implement a rigorous workflow and integrate with all the other systems to enable the fast and efficient delivery of the solution.
Xoomworks employed an agile and iterative approach that involved the business from the outset in the design and functionality of the solution. They also quickly gained user buy-in to increase uptake of the new solution.
We delivered a modern browser-based user interface supported on all browsers with an intuitive, user-friendly layout and search functionality. We’ve enabled role-based visibility of certain records and fields as well as implementing a role-based workflow for approval and changes. Now users can quickly see what outstanding actions are required. More importantly, the solution successfully integrated all internal trading systems and 3rd party screening solutions with the organisation’s SharePoint document management system.
It is always helpful when dealing with a company who knows what they want. It makes decision-making quick and easy. Everyone on this project was genuinely interested in working together to deliver success.
