Adrian Elliott joins Xoomworks Alumni

With Adrian deciding to move onwards in his career we wanted to take the time to share with you what an absolute legend he has been during his years with us. As one of our first recruits into the Xoomworks Managed Services family Adrian went on to build tremendous relationships with some of our key clients - whilst always being himself.

Adrian has all the qualities that we cherish at Xoomworks. He is frighteningly bright, he has everyone captivated by his uniqueness and to top it off he is the sharpest dresser in town. So loved by all his colleagues that his leaving collection was so large he was able to replenish his wardrobe at Selfridges.

Here are some words on Adrian from Xoomworks Finance Director Anthony Baring (mentor and great friend)

Very early on when I joined Xoomworks, there was this fellow in the office who looked as though he had come straight from the Student Union. Charming, boyish and sizzling with intelligence and curiosity; Later he became quite a dandy and we regularly pipped each other for Xoomworks GQ Man of the Year Christmas Awards. A brilliant compere, not an unkind bone in his body as he gently but incisively tweaked the Xoomworks establishment. Probably the greatest acknowledgement I can give to Adrian is that whenever we look for new young talent, we talk about finding the new Adrian….as they say on a reference form, “Would you re-employ this person?” “No, we’d headhunt him”.

We couldn't let this moment pass without asking Adrian a few questions:

Who has been the best client you've worked for during your tenure at XW?

Westminster City Council had a great team during the eProc implementation, and we still keep in touch till this day.  We had a lot of fun together (when we weren't working long hours of course!). BSkyB presented some really interesting technical challenges, I built on my skill set greatly during this project.

What's been the best XWS event you've attended?

Any event involving a significant number of Xoomworks people is great fun and provides some cracking humour and good times.  My all time favourite was when a number of us took a day of holiday on a Friday and met in Borough Market. We really made the most of London that day!

Is there a past or present XWS employee that's stood out?

I have so many friends at the company its hard to pick people out.  Particularly though I'm grateful to David Bone, Paul Tempest, Pip Dudrah, Ian Dagg and Martin Denham for the mentoring and career support they have given me over the years. Also I tip my hat to the management team as a whole, they show real direction and are fantastic individuals.
I should also mention Hong Phoung and Charlene, who have both really gone out of their way to help me out over the years!

What would you love to see happen as a Xoomworks Alumni?

I'd love to continue to see the company grow and diversify - serving new markets whilst remaining true to the Xoomworks ethos.  What Xoomworks has to offer clients and staff is truly unique among consultancies.
