What is your role at Xoomworks?
Consultant - part of the Managed Services Team.
I have so far worked on two great projects - AXA helpdesk where it is all about best in class service delivery; Sky as part of their Ariba upgrade, supplier enablement piece with a merger and world class project in their helpdesk stream.
What did you do before you came to Xoomworks?
I was a Technical Sales Support in Siemens Building Technologies - supporting the sales team with on the road expo, configuring hardware controllers for onsite system integrated service packages, training apprentices on Siemens building technology solutions and creating user friendly localised documentation to assist/support endusers with queries.
Any other secrets?
I used to be a undercover security guard playing under cover cop in a women's clothing store. I once caught a legal secretary stealing $5 stockings. I used to Love flicking out my badge and say "hi I'm the security here - we need to check your bag ma'm!"
Why did you choose Xoomworks?
Initially it was because the company supported my chosen career path. I am still here glued down because of Xoomworks' undying support network that provides me with encouragement to try something new outside just my personal career growth eg: reengineering internal processes, supporting time out for new ventures like ideas bank in house, opportunity to create and take part in team building activities, supporting memberships in external networks, always signing off holidays, great outside of work activities as a team that does not just involve drinking, acknowledgement of my effort, youthful enthusiasm no matter the age, fantastic leadership within the company, internal trainings, the list goes on.
What is your favourite book/film?
Favourite English movies: When Harry met Sally, Spy Game, Father of the Bride, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Oceans 11... The List grows too long! I'm also a rom com fanatic!
Favourite book: The Alchemist and a Tamil book (Vidiyalai Nooki - which means Awaiting Dawn)
Favourite Xoomworks event attended so far?
In fear of sounding prosaic, I am just going to say it - we do work hard and party harder. There has been a lot of good nights out. Every time I think of my most memorable night, night out in Romania on one of my work trips comes to mind. Although only a few of us went out, going to work straight from the airport felt like being back in university again. Dedicated both at work and out!
