SRM – the Route to Procurement Excellence
SAP’s Supplier Relationship Management solution from Xoomworks offers a wide range of positive business benefits.
The challenge: Every business is searching for ways to improve their performance in an increasingly competitive world - and procurement is often seen as the route to success. Excellent procurement enables businesses to manage costs and reap the benefits of innovation through closer collaboration with suppliers.
To achieve these goals an integrated procurement platform is needed to streamline operations, enhance cost management and improve supplier communications.
The solution: SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) provides an end-to-end source-to-pay process designed to save time and money, manage suppliers effectively and gain a full overview of procurement operations.
Strategic sourcing, requisitioning, invoicing, contract management, supplier management and spend analysis all form part of an integrated procurement platform, enabling business units, procurement executives and suppliers to collaborate effectively for positive and lasting results.

The SAP SRM offer
SAP’s SRM application enables companies to manage costs while streamlining procurement processes, develop the supply base and reap the benefits of collaboration between business units, procurement professionals and suppliers.SRM gives you control over all aspects of your procurement operation through a suite of integrated functions:
E-sourcing: an online shopping tool accessed through an internet browser whether on a desktop PC, laptop or PDA. This enables requisitions to be raised on the spot and forwarded instantly for approval and the placing of an order.
Strategic sourcing: shopping carts completed through the e-sourcing tool can be managed and sourced through a preferred vendor list. The order can then be turned into a purchase order, a request-for-quote or a contract with a supplier. A reverse auction can also be initiated, allowing suppliers to quote their prices competitively.
Supplier enablement and collaboration: allows suppliers to view orders, receipts and invoices, reducing the time needed to process payments and vastly reduce the chances of error. SRM enables vendors to complete an online evaluation form to be viewed by the procurement organisation who may decide to place the supplier on a preferred list.
Catalogue management: typically enables employees to evaluate millions of items before placing an order. This can be achieved through internal hosted catalogues, punch-out into vendors’ catalogues or through catalogues hosted and maintained by a third party.
Reporting: detailed, comprehensive spend data covering the entire organisation is captured and consolidated, enabling close analysis and high-quality management reporting.
